THE DELIGHTFUL
Old-world Gardens
are arranged with perfect simplicity and good taste.
The South-west of the Hall is flamked with a
Broad Terrace,
from which the Grounds slope away to the South
in Terraces to the Italian Gardemn and Ornamental
Water. The Herbaceous border is nearly 500
yards in length. The
Cathedral Walk
is a beautiful Avenue of Limes commencing at the
end of the Terrace and terminating at the Lake.
The Natural Wild Walks between the Lakes are a
special feature. There is also a Rock and Water
Garden, and a Maze, and many delightful Wood-
land Walks.
The Gardens and Grounds are finely timbered,
and are inexpensive to maintain, owing to the
natural beauty of the landscape.
