TATTRSETT (or GATESEND) is a parish and small village 6 miles west from Fakenham, and 2 from Raynham Park station of the Easterm & Midlands Railway, situated on the bank of the Tat rivulet, in the Western division of the county, Gallow hundred. Walsingham union and county court district, rural deanery of Burnham, archdeaconry of Norfolk and diocese of Norwich. The church of All Saints is a small ancient building of flint, in the Perpendicular style, consisting of chancel, nave, south porch with square western tower containing 1 bell. The register dates from the year 1568. The living is a rectory, united with the adjoining rectory of Tatterford. joint yearly value £685, in the gift of Joseph Stonehewer Scott-Chad esq.
