FRENZE, 1 mile W. of Scole, has 7 houses, 37 souls, and about 420 acres of land. It is united with Scole and Thorpe Parva for the maintenance of the poor, but ecclesiastically a separate parish. It is mostly the property of S. Smith, Esq., of Frenze Hall, a neat mansion near the church, who is also patron of the rectory, valued in the King's book at £2 13s. 4d., and now enjoyed by the Rev. Robt. Wegg. The tithes are commuted for £106. The church is a small edifice, dedicated to St. Andrew, and contains some fine old brasses.
