WESTFIELD, a small parish 2 miles S. of East Dereham, has 35 houses, 143 souls, and 569a. 10p. of land, mostly the property of Sir W.R. Clayton, W. P. Salter, Jas. Smith, and Mrs. My. Grigson ; the latter is lady of the manor. The Church, dedicated to St. Andrew, is a rectory, valued in the King's book at £4 4s. 2d , in the patronage of Edward Harvey Grigson, Esq., and now enjoyed with that of Whinburgh, by the Rev. Wm. Grigson, who has here 20a. of glebe. The tithes of Westfield are commuted for £150. At the enclosure in 1810, 7a. were allotted to the poor, who have also 8s. a year from Mowting's charity.
