First I direct my Executors herein after named to pay all my Just Depts Mortgages and funerell Charges and the expenses of proving and executing my Will
Item I Give and bequeath all my Reale and personall estate of what Nature or kind soever Being in Brancaster or else where after Discharging all my Just Depts unto Sarah Dawson my beloved Wife for and During her Naturell Life And after the Decease of my beloved Wife I Give the same to my Daughter Ann Dawson and her Heirs lawfully to be begotten And further if the said Ann Dawson should not Survive my beloved Wife or leave no Isew lawfully begotten then I Desire all my Reale and personal Estate to be equally Divided betwen John Carter and Robert Carter my Sons in Law And I appoint Peter Moore Executor of this my last Will and testament Revoking all former Wills by me made and Declare this to be my last
In Witness whereof I the said Abell Dawson have to this my last Will and Testament subscribed my name and affix’d my seal the twenty fourth Day of September one Thousand seven Hundred and eighty fower.

On the 19th May 1797 Administration with the Will annexed was by the Authority of the Worshipful Thomas ...ay D.D. ................ granted to Sarah Dawson Widow of the Testator and Ann Dawson his Daughter the residuary Legatees named in his said Will (Peter Moore the Exctor named in the said Will departing this Life before the Testator).
