Abstract of Indenture
Relating to the Sale of Property
in Frettenham, 1699
That Messuage or Tenement wherein dwells James Barber with the lands and pastures adjoining, lying in two Enclosures or yards in Frettenham containing together by Estimation three acres. Next to the yards of Edmund Themylthorp Gent. on the East and the lands of John Harbord on the West, and abutting upon the common pasture of Frettenham to the North, and the lands of John Harbord to the South. These late Messuage, Lands and Tenements of John Harbord and his heirs bought [etc.] from Robt. London, Gent. and Anne, his wife.
And also that dole of Bruery Ground on the common pasture of Frettenham also belonging to John Harbord.
(All to be sold [etc.]) to James Barber and Elizabeth his wife for the term of their natural lives and the life of the longest lived of them. After the death of the longest lived, to their heirs forever. With five shillings annual rent to be paid to John Harbord and his heirs, every year for everafter, on the 29th September, at Gunton.
John Harbord to grant to James Barber and his heirs the right to use and enjoy the land, premises [etc.] without let or hindrance.
