First I nominate and appoint Richard Hanbury Gurney of Keswick in the said County Esquire Sole executor of this my Will And I give and devise All that my Cottage or tenement with the Garden and appurtenances thereto belonging situate lying and being in the Parish of Saint Clement within the City of Norwich or the Suburbs thereof unto my dear wife Elizabeth Storey and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life she keeping the same in good and tenantable repair and condition and ensured from loss or damage by fire
And from and after the decease of my said I give (sic) and devise the said Cottage or tenement with the Garden and appurtenances thereto belonging unto my daughter Mary the wife of John Cooper and to her heirs and assigns for ever
And I give and devise all those my Cottages or tenements with the Yard and appurtenances thereto belonging situate lying and being in Southrepps in the said County of Norfolk unto my said daughter Mary Cooper and to her heirs and assigns for ever
And I do hereby authorize empower and direct my said Executor his Executors or administrators as soon as conveniently can be after my decease to raise and take out of my personal Estate the sum of Six hundred pounds and to put and place out the same at interest upon real or Government security or securities and to continue the same so placed out during the natural lives of my said wife and daughter and the life of the survivor of them nevertheless altering and transposing the security or securities upon which the said sum of Six hundred pounds shall be so placed out for any other real or Government security or securities as often as occasion shall require or he my said Executor his Executors or administrators shall think proper
And I give and bequeath the interest or dividends and annual produce of the said sum of Six hundred pounds unto my said Wife for and during the term of her natural life
And from and after her decease I give and bequeath the interest or dividends and annual produce of the same sum unto my said daughter for and during the term of her natural life
And after the decease of the survivor of them my said Wife and Daughter I give and bequeath the said sum of Six hundred pounds unto all the Children of her my said daughter who shall be living at or after my decease to be equally divided between them if more than one share and share alike and if but one the whole to be paid to such only Child
And I give and bequeath to my said Wife all my household furniture implements of household plate china glass and linen to be delivered to her immediately after my decease
And I direct my said Executor his executors or administrators to pay all my just debts my funeral expences and my testamentary charges as soon as may be after my decease
And after payment of such debts expences and charges I direct authorize and empower my said executor his executors or administrators to put and place out at interest upon real or Government security or securities all the residue and remainder of my personal estate and effects of every kind and nature And to continue the same so placed out during the life of my said daughter nevertheless altering and transposing the security or securities upon which such residue of my personal Estate shall be so placed out for any other real or Government security or securities as often as occasion shall require or he my said executor his executors or administrators shall think proper
And I give and bequeath the interest or dividends and annual produce of such residue of my personal Estate unto my said daughter for and during the term of her natural life And after her decease I give and bequeath the said residue of my personal Estate unto all the Children of her my said daughter who shall be living at or after my decease to be equally divided between them if more than one share and share alike and if but one the whole to be paid to such only Child
And in case any of the Children of my said daughter shall depart this life in her life time without having any issue of his her or their body or bodies lawfully begotten then and in such case it is my Will that the share or shares of the said sum of Six hundred pounds and of the said residue of my personal Estate of him her or them so dying shall go and accrue to the survivor or survivors of them the said Children to be equally divided between them if more than one share and share alike and if but one the whole to be paid to such only Child
And in case any of the said Children shall die in the lifetime of my said daughter leaving issue of his her or their body or bodies lawfully begotten then and in such case it is my will that the share or shares of the said sum of Six hundred pounds and of the said residue of my personal Estate of him her or them so dying shall go and belong to his her or their issue and be equally divided between such issue if more than one share and share alike my Will however being that the issue of each of such Children so dying shall have the same share as and no greater share than the parent of such issue would have had or been entitled to if he or she had been living at the decease of my said daughter
And it is my Will that the share or shares to which any of the Children of my said daughter or the issue of any of them who may die in her life time of the said sum of Six hundred pounds and of the said residue of my personal Estate shall become entitled by virtue of this my Will shall during the minority or minorities of such Children or issue is placed or continued out at interest upon such security or securities as aforesaid in the name or names of my said Executor or of his executors or administrators and that the interest or dividends and annual proceeds thereof shall be applied by my said executor his executors or administrators during the minority or minorities of such children or issue in for or towards his her or their maintenance education and bringing up
And I do hereby further declare my Will to be that my said Executor his executors or administrators shall not be charged or chargeable with or accountable for any more money than he or they shall actually receive or shall come to his or their hands by virtue of this my Will nor with or for any loss or losses that shall or may happen of my monies and personal Estate or of the interest or dividends and annual proceeds thereof so as such loss or losses happen without his or their wilful default
And also that it shall be lawful for my said executor his Executors or administrators to deduct and reimburse himself and themselves out of such monies and personal estate all such costs charges and expences as he or they shall sustain expend or be put unto for or by reason of this my Will or the directions herein contained or the management execution and observance of the same
In witness whereof I the said Edward Storey the testator hereby revoking all former Wills by me made have to this my last Will and Testament contained in three sheets of paper set my hand and affixed my seal that is to say my hand to the first two sheets and my hand and seal to this third and last sheet the sixteenth day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Edward Storey the testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto John Deynes Thos. Massey Junr. John Woodrow
It is also the particular desire of me Edward Storey of Northrepps that a Codicil as undermentioned be made in addition to my last Will as contained in the three sheets hereto before annexed and dated the sixteenth day of August one thousand eight hundred and twenty one (viz) that my before named executor his executors or administrators do pay or cause to be paid quarterly the sum of five shillings per week out of my property or estate commencing from the time of my decease to Sarah Copeman Dyball my present housekeeper and wife of Joseph Dyball for the term of her natural life as a remuneration for her services The gratuity so named to be paid to no one else except the said Sarah Copeman Dyball

In the Episcopal Consistorial Court of Norwich
In the Goods of Edward Storey deceased on the 23rd. day of July in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four appeared personally George Pank of Cromer in the County of Norfolk Surveyor and made oath that he is one of the subscribing witnesses to a Codicil to the last Will and Testament of Edward Storey late of Northrepps in the said County Gardener deceased that the said Codicil was executed by the said deceased in the presence of this deponent and of John Cross and Jeremy Cross the other subscribing witnesses thereto on the twenty fifth day of April one thousand eight hundred and thirty four but this deponent forgot to insert the day of the month in the blank left therein for that purpose

The said George Pank signed this affidavidit and was sworn to the truth thereof at Southrepps on the 23rd. day of July 1834 before me, George Glover.
This Will with the Codicil to the same was proved at Norwich on the twenty fourth day of May 1834 before the Reverend William Fitt Drake Clerk Surrogate duly appointed of the Worshipful William Yonge Clerk A. M. official principal of the Episcopal Consistorial Court of Norwich lawfully constituted and was approved &c and admin. of all and singular the goods &c of the within named Edward Storey the testator deceased was on the twentieth day of August 1834 duly granted to Richard Hanbury Gurney Esquire the sole Executor within named he being duly sworn &c saving &c
