FIRST I give and bequeath to Mr. Samuel Barber of Stanninghall in the said County the sum of Sixty pounds to be paid into his hands at the End of twelve Kalendar Months after my Decease, In Trust for and to the following purposes (viz) That the interest of the said Sixty Pounds be by him paid and applied as it becomes due to the sole use and benefit of my Daughter Elizabeth Green the Wife of William Green during her natural Life And my Wish is that an acquittance (on any payment of the Said Interest money made) Signed by her the said Elizabeth's own hand (Shall notwithstanding her Coverture) be the only proper discharge to the said Samuel Barber, it being my Will that the said William Green Shall have no power over the Said Sixty pounds or any part or Interest thereof And that the Same Shall not with any manner Subject to his debts Consent or Engagement And my Will is that the said Samuel Barber do & shall from time to time during the Life of her husband William Green on the request of my Said Daughter Elizabeth Green pay or apply Such part and parts of the said Sixty Pounds over and above her Interest due thereupon as he shall think needfull for her wants & necessary occasions, And at the Decease of her husband the aforesaid William Green the whole or such part of the sd. Sixty pounds as shall be and remain in the hands of the said Samuel Barber I will shall be paid by the Said Samuel Barber to my Daughter Elizabeth Green her Heirs, Executors & administrators within one month after the decease of the said husband And I do also give and bequeath to my said Daughter Elizabeth Green all my wearing apparell And I do also give unto my son in law Mr. Charles Stackey(?) and to Mr. Samuel Barber abovenamed One Guinea each for the purchasing Rings for theirselves And I do also hereby direct that not only my just Debts and ffuneral Expenses be paid by my Executors but that the said Mr. Samuel Barber be paid for his Trouble as One of my Executors. As I hereby Nominate and appoint the said Samuel Barber of Stanninghall & my Son Joseph Barber joint Executors of this my last Will & Testament to whom that is to Say to my Said Son Joseph Barber (after payment of my Debts funeral & other necessary expenses and Discharge of the Legacies & Sums of money above mentioned) I give and bequeath all my remaining Goods Chattels & Personal Effects whatsoever.
IN WITNESS whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament Set my hand and Seal this thirtieth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred & eighty one.
Proved by her son Joseph Barber one of the Said Executors 29th. November 1783 before Jas. Wilkins Clerk Surrogate to the official ..... power being first reserved for Mr. Samuel Barber the other Executor to Act when ..... ......
