The Will of Samuel BARBER
of Stanninghall, Norfolk, and formerly of Dunton
Extract from Will - 1792

AMONGST other things in the last Will and Testament of Samuel Barber formerly of Dunton but late of Stanninghall in the County of Norfolk deceased bearing date the sixth day of February which was in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety two it is contained as follows (namely)

"ITEM I do hereby order direct authorize and empower my Executors hereinafter named or the survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of such survivor as soon as conveniently can be after my decease to sell dispose of and convey all and every my Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever being as well freehold and copyhold as leasehold not being before disposed of for the best price or prices that can be reasonably obtained for the same and to receive the Rents and Profits thereof untill the same shall be sold AND it is also my mind and will and I do hereby declare that the receipt or receipts of my said Executors or of the survivors of them or of the Executors or Administrators of such survivor for all or any part of the Purchase Money of my Real Estates herein before directed to be sold shall be good and sufficient discharge or good and sufficient discharges to the Purchaser or Purchasers of the said Estates for the said Purchase Money or so much thereof as shall be acknowledged to be received by such receipt or receipts AND that such Purchaser or Purchasers shall not be obliged to see to the application nor be answerable for any misapplication or nonapplication of the said Purchase Money after payment thereof to my Executors hereinafter named or the survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of such survivor"

Witnesses to the said Will Eliza D'Oyly Wm Foster Adam Taylor, Inn....

Proved by the Oaths of Benjamin Barber Son and John Barber Brother of the Deceased
Executors named in the said will the twenty eighth day of March 1792

This is a true Copy of and agrees with the original Will of the said
Testator deceased so far as relates to the Premises
