ffirst & before all thinges, I comend my soule into the handes of Allmightie God the ffather sonne & holy Ghost, beleiveinge steadfastly to be saved through the precious Death & passion of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ and I Comitt my bodie to the earth whereof it was made.
Item I give and devise to Alice my wife all that my Tenement or Cottage wth the grounde & appurtenances to the same belonginge Situate in Welles wch. I late purchased of Richard Linsey & Margaret his wife that I now have & after the decease of Richard Linsey & Margaret his wife shall have to the Said Alice my wife & her heires provided allwaies & upon Condition that the said Alice my wife or her heires executors administrators or Assignes shall paie or cause to be paid to Richard Linsey & Margaret his wife there heires executors ad..... there or Assignes the sume of tenn ounds of lawfull englishe money accordinge to writeinges obligatorie bearing date wch this psent. wherein ..... the said Thomas Stande bounde to paid shalbe by the said writeinges obligatorie therein at large appeare That then my gift of the said Tenement or Cottage with the grounde and appurtenances to be in full force and power in lawe to the said Alice my wife and her heires
But if default of payment be made of the said sume of tenn pounds in parte or in all contrary to the time and place mentioned in the said writeinges obligatorie That then my gifte of the said premises to Alice my wife and her heires to be void frustrate and of none effort, and it shalbe lawfull for the said Richard Linsey & Margaret his wife and theire heires to enter in and upon the said tenemt. or Cottage grounde & appurtenances and the same to have and to holde to them & theire heires
Item I give and bequeath to Alice Steele my mother fortie shillinges of lawfull english money manner followinge, tenn shillinges thereof wthin. one yeare next after my decease and tenne shillings wthin. twoe yeares next after & the other twentie shillinges wthin. three yeares next after my decease;
Item all my goodes & moveables housholde stuffe and venture? at ..... I do give & bequeath to Alice my wife whome I doe make and ordaine executrixe of this my last will & testament willinge her to paie my debts and paie my debts And I doe make Richard Goldsmith my ..cle? in lawe supervisor of this my last will and for his paines and counsel I give him twentie & haveing finished this my will in one sheete of paper Theise being wittnesses
